Best Florida Beaches
While Marco Island’s beach spans five miles, there are three main public areas:
South Beach is the place to go for shelling and seaside eats. You’re even likely to spot some dolphins passing through the area. The sand is groomed and well-maintained, so you’ll enjoy a clean space to tan, build castles, and watch the water lapping along the shore. Tigertail Beach is the most secluded of these options. It is nestled along a path just north of the main strip of Marco Island beaches, closer to the estuary research reserve. It’s the perfect spot for a quiet nap or a hike through the wilderness. You’ll spot more land animals while you’re here, but you’ll still experience the clean beaches that make southwest Florida famous.
