Parks & Recreation:

Marco Island offers several parks that visitors will find interesting. Some are small neighborhood green spaces, others larger with numerous activities. Here's a quick summary:

Mackle Park at the intersection of Heathwood and Andalusia

This mid island park offers lots for all ages and is our most extensive city park.

Named for the founding family of modern Marco, the Mackle's. This park is a great place to run, play, and burn off steam with a great collection of activities for kids of all ages: playground with climbing areas, water features (bring a bathing suit on hot days - they're going to insist!), kid height basketball, indoor games. For more seasoned visitors, there is a wide, paved path that circles the small lake. Adult and teen covered basketball courts which are great for rainy or hot sunny days.  Gear for these activities is available to borrow from the community center.
