Commonly used interchangeably, property and rental management are really two different services. Horizons Rentals does both though here we focus on property management.
Rental management is marketing the unit to prospective renters and taking the reservation. As in any business, the ‘sales’ (revenue) end is important.
You also need a ‘back room’ that can deliver the product or service. Is the unit clean? What if the A/C breaks? The hot water stops working? Toilet overflows? How do you get the keys to the guest? Pool is dirty? Appliances need repair? Who does your renter call at 10:00 p.m…or 1:00 a.m? The roof leaks. Guest is locked out or lost the keys? The lawn sprinkler is broken…again. The cleaner you called didn’t show up…and the guest just arrived to tell you. And so on.
